We want to empower young heart patients. Our book serves as a companion and help in difficult times. Thanks to our journalistic expertise in the field of cardiac medicine, we were able to prepare medically relevant content in a child-friendly and understandable way. Our aim is to provide a little support for children and their relatives and friends who are affected by heart disease.

Our book is multifunctional and uses a special visual approach as well as an implied folding technique. It offers content to stick on, colour in and join in to support young patients. At the same time, it encourages dialogue between patients, parents and the hospital team. Our features include:

The brand –
Open your heart
Our aim is to support young patients by presenting medical content in a way that is suitable for young people and laypeople. Our empathetic approach begins with an open heart and a dialogue at eye level. Our brand name is therefore also our mission. The book for children with heart disease is our first realised medium. We are planning further media for various illnesses as well as a health book. Our books are intended to serve as a means of communication between patients, doctors, carers, parents and carers and to help convey informative, interactive, documentary and visual content.

The team
We are people of the heart and would like to use our medical expertise, creativity and empathy to help make the world a little "healer" and offer support for sick children. Our team consists of Florian, Daniel, Frauke and Regina.

About the author
Regina Iglauer-Sander
Following my heart and not losing courage has always been the most important thing for me. My career path led me from training as a federal police officer to studying German language and literature, linguistics and history (Mag. Art.) to journalism. As the owner of the media agency Coaching+Communication in Berlin, my focus for many years has been in the field of medicine. Among other things, I worked for nine years as an external press officer for the German Society for Thoracic, Cardiac and Vascular Surgery. The idea for the brand and the first book came about during a press conference for the presentation of the German Heart Report and after my visit to a paediatric cardiology ward in Erlangen.
